marijuana television show?

my friend told me of this show called "weeds" a sitcom about a single mother who decides to start selling weed. i saw some previews for it and it appeared to be desperate housewives with reefer. they employed the phrase "sub-herb-an".
anyways, im downloading it rite now, and i wondered if anyone has seen it?

i have the first season... i like it. deffinitly give it a try and theres a new episode on tonight at 8 central time on showtime

 

Yeah its a SHOtime seriers. I think its pretty funny. They seem to give a good portrail of what weed is like.

 

yea my said friend that they perfectly enact a person high on marijuana.

This show is not available on cable I am assuming? I looked at tv guide when I saw this thread and I didn't see this SHOtime channel you speak of.

 

its a movie channel (much like HBO)... so ya i dont think its on regular cable. but my friend has it on digital cable

 

Hah I grabbed that show a long time ago and there's some really good episodes. Especially the character Andy (Nancy's brother) is really funny on the fact of being constantly stoned!

 

very very very bad show, i dont think it should have ever gotten a pilot

 

The writers of that show seem to think that relying on a social stigma is a fair substitute for things like a compelling storyline and characters who can hold the interest of anyone with an IQ higher than that of a dumpster for more than a few minutes. In short, Weeds employs one of the worst plot copouts that I've ever seen.
