    Hi,

i have 2 doctor plants form the greenhouse seed co, and it says its a strong indica but the leaves look like sativa, its a bout a meter tall.

any help on re-potting them without damaging the roots too much? the pot is thick, should i re-pot them when the pot is dry or wet?

    thanks

Yea, the leaves look like a Sative-Indica cross, too narrow for Indica and too wide for Sativa. You might need two people to un-pot something that big. Let it get good and dry. If it's a plastic pot; gently squeeze it all the way around, just deform it enough to break it loose a little bit. You can also insert a large knife blade between the soil and the pot; gently working your way around the circle to break it loose. When you turn the pot over, keep both hands underneath, spread open, to support the soil. This is where you might need the second person. If the pot will not release, the second person must beat the pot, curse at it, unscrew it, whatever it takes - while you are supporting the soil with both hands.

An alternate method is to just cut away the pot. Working with pots that big can really be a pain in the ass!!! Good luck, I hope you're planting it in the ground - it will be even harder to repot next time

If you transplant when the soil is moist you'll lose less of the root ball.
After transplanting, give it some water with superthrive of thrivealive.

rawgarlic, what I do (by looking at the shape of your pot) you should be able to do this also , is wait until the soil is moist ( hold together better when moist if you do not have a soild root ball) not right after watering or right before ( you should see your soil pulling away from the sides of the pot as it drys),what I do is take and tip the plant out of the pot into my hand and look at the roots if they go all the way around the time to repot if not I wait.
If you find you have to water twice a day more then like it is time to repot you are running out of soil to hold moisture, you can wait until roots come out the bottom but I do like to look at the root mass as I can see if I am having any problems are starting (bugs , root rot , etc.) but that just how I do it.I is also good to remember not to repot into too big of a pot or you will slow your plant down as they work on make roots not top growth ( also ezer to overwater a bigger pot) I start in 16 oz drink cups go to 6 inch square pots and then 1 gallon pot and finish in 3 gallon or 5 gallon pot (what strian I am growing and how much room I have).
The Best of luck in your grow your plant look great Peace and be safe Dequilo
