When I become sexually active, should I worry...

...if I am using a condom, my girlfriend is on the pill, and I pull out before an orgasm?

One of the reasons I've been completely paranoid about sex for so long is a pregnancy, even with birth control. This is a 100% guarantee that there would be no pregnancy, right? Since there would be no worse thing in the world than ruining me and my girlfriend's lives.

 

The pill is 99% effective ***IF USED CORRECTLY***. How often that happens, weeeeeell, they say average effectiveness is somewhere in the 85-90% range if I remember correctly.

Use a condom. Cover with a rubber.

 

keep in mind those statistics are yearly not per time, its not like if you fuck her 99 times you'll get her pregnant once, its in one year of using condom use you only have a 1 percent chance of getting her pregnant...

Dude, I doubt you have anything to worry about. The pill has kept me plenty safe, but it doesn't work for every girl. (Sorry, moonflower.)

Nice to know that you're keeping it safe, but I don't think a pregnancy would "ruin" your lives. Complicate it, yes. Ruin? No.

Uh, no, the pill is 99%, added with the condom and the pull out I'd give him a 0.01% chance.

 

Condoms and the BCP are EXCELLENT methods of contraception, each on their own. If you use both together, you have maximum protection from both pregnancy and STI transmission. It's great to see these pro-active attitudes!
