i need ur help man right now the night time temps are getting down to 65 and my plants are in a pit (its a woods area thats sunken down about 20 feet) so heat rises and im afraid my plants will get to cold and go into schock and not bud, right now my friends is budding and mine isnt (same seeds) im just nervous u know its my first time. P.S its surronded by other small plants (non cannabis) so they insulate a little, what do u think will happen??
I've seen them shrug off a very light frost with no ill effects. I suppose it depends on seed strain, overall health, etc. It can't be good for them, but they're hardy. See what R.D. has to say. Besides, what can you do.
fishheadbob is correct, pot can survive even hard frosts if it gets above freezing in the daytime. Pot growth slows as temps drop below 65F (or above 90F), but it shouldn't harm the plant; temps are generally that cold every fall, at least at night. Cold might have slowed down your plants development a bit. But what I'm wondering, is your plant getting lots of sunlight?
