I'm looking for a hippy/beach town, does it exist?

I'm looking for a beach town full of hippies, anywhere in the world...where is it? California is becoming too...expensive, trendy, overrun...any ideas?

La Libertad in El Salvador is meant to be a real surfer spot and also most of Baja California in Mexico.

Goa would be shit for surfing. Also alot of Surfing spots in Portugal also.

In the states santa cruz california is the closest I have found to that... and Big Sur California is Beautiful.. seeing youre from california though I take it you are familiar with these places? Other than that I did just get back from camping on the island of kauai hawaii .. has a really chill vibe there, vegan resturants, caves and rainforest to explore, and quite a few organic farms that will let you worktrade for food and a place to pitch a tent. not really sure of any existing total hippie utopias.. you might be interested in finding a commune of people on the coast somewhere or forming your own community. Bali and around......one of the best places in the world to surf. Goa one of the best, convinent and cheap hippie towns remaning

 

Definately Goa.. over-run by hippies and super cheap.

 

I love Gokarna its 150 km south from goa and more cheap and peaceful then Goa many Rainbows is there!

 

and package tourists.

 

well i was a goa freakm but i have to say that i am not so impressed anymoren might never go back. the vibe is fake and not so friendly its about having big bikes and bid dicks and big chilluimes
