Thats pretty crazy. Your kids will have an aunt of uncle that is younger than them! My dad has a sister who is around the same age as my brother. She is my aunt, but I grew up with her as though she was a cousin. She now has kids that are around my kids' ages. She was a surprise to my grandparents! (They have a pile of kids)

yeah, my dad's family is like that - my dad was an uncle at about 3 months, a great uncle at 30 and is now a great, great uncle at 55.

Most of my cousin's children are the same age as me or older and my cousin's kid has a 5yr old daughter.

that's great! I've heard of that happening a few times before. Kinda puts things into a weird "order" but certainly is fun! lol

Kind of cool that you can baby-sit your Sister or brother In law!!! That is kind of neat though really! A little surprise I am sure!:)

I'm happy she was able to become pregnant. How old is she? Is it her first? (I am guessing it is your dh's step mom? No? If it is his biomom, then it wouldn't be her first would it? :) )

My son has 6 neices and nephews. Number 7 is due in November. Only one of the six is younger than he is. Last summer my son was out in the yard with his 9 year old nephew and his 7 year old neice. DS was almost 3 at the time. The guy next door asked if the kids had a cousin visiting. My SIL who was then 55, (and 6 months older than me) answered, "No, he's their uncle. He's my BIL" That really made the neighbor stop and think.

The first time I visited my DD after we adopted Dakota, my Grandson was pushing him in the stroller. He kept throwing toys out of the stroller. My Grandson kept saying, "No, no, Uncle Dakota." I thought the clerk in the store was gonna die laughing at this big kid calling this 1 year old baby uncle.

Strange things happen in this world. Of course for us it was via adoption, but I know many families that have wide age differences via natural birth as well.

My oldest child will be 37 in October and my baby is 4.

    Congrats to your MIL.
