What price should i expect to pay for an average quality teenagers bike? I'm fed up of walking 30 mins to the nearest newsagents but i don't know what sort of prices i should be looking at

    hey all, she's british.
A good way to score a bike here in the US (if you are willing to do a couple repairs) is a pawn shop.
I think I saw pawn shops in the UK (I lived in Littlehampmton for a while in the late 80s)
look in the classified adverts as well.

Why not track items on E-bay , then you get an idea of what the true market value is.

My last bike cost over $1200 but I say for an average bike good bike around $200-300, always think that it will cost more cuz u will be suprised. Ya if u want a $100 bike go to walmart and pick out one from the kiddie section, you even get a horn on those ones lmao

i got mine at a city auction for about 10$ (sorry dont know what that is in pounds). it works really well. check clasifieds, thrift stores, if you know someone who knows a lot about bikes have them go with and help you.

Bikes (in Canada at least, I don't know about the states) are a heavily protected industry. I find it kind of amusing.
