Within the next month I want to spend a week or so at the coast, Riding waves and eating freshly caught fish. however I have little Idea about fishing. Im not talking about sea bass or conga eels. just the odd mackrel or somthing. how would one go about doing this?

If you are talking West Coast like Washington State a plug cut hearing and taking it almost to the bottom of a deep shelf then letting it bob up and down about 12" will get some nice rockers. Alot of perch and flounder follow the ferry boats in so just a worm and a hook can get them.

you can always catch fish fishing tight line on the bottom, atleast everywhere around here. ocean, rivers and such. talk to the locals at the baitshop, ask them. they are always more than willing to help you out.
