    k so i got a 7 piercings:
lobes, 2nd holes, 3rd on one & navel.

i'm pretty sure i'm going to get my traigus (sp?) pierced & might get a tat of a peace sign on my neck.

i've always wanted a tat on my hip bone or a little below but i don't think i'm ready for that yet..

    my questions are:
    a) do you think the traigus is a good choice for the next piercing? something else maybe?
    &
    b) what sort of peace sign should i get?

    thanks guys!:)

The tragus is a good choice for a peircing but you have to choose yourself. You either wnat it or you dont... I have mine done and it looks cool. If you want it done get it done you wont regret it. As for the tattoo I have no preference x 0_0 x

for the tattoo...you always hear the same, but it's that simple...

DO WHATEVER THE FUCK YOU LIKE.

YOU are the one dealing with YOUR body. We aren't the one dealing with your body. The truth is, there will be always someone complaining about something, so do whatever the fuck you like, the people that like it, yay, the people that doesn't, oh well, fuck off.

Just remember it's a tat, you should go something more far than I like peace. It must look good, it's on your body. That's my opinion.

Again, do whatever you want, BUT I would strongly reconsider a tattoo on your neck for a first tattoo.

Unfortunately, a lot of people aren't as open minded as they should be and you will get judged by your tattoo. A neck tattoo is very visible and hard to hide. I liken it to having a bad hickie(in acceptability not appearance). its slightly socially unacceptable, and while most people won't say anything, you still would want to cover it at times.

Just as an example, my tattooist waited until he was a professional tattooist for five years before he got his neck done and he did it as a sign of his committment to his art.

Anyway, I think you should do what you want, but I encourage you to consider the ramifications of a highly visible tattoo.

    Peace and good luck

PS I'm totally in support of tattoos( I have about 50 hours) and expression. I just know that some people are not and hate seeing people limit themselves without full consideration

I have a tattoo of a peace sign on the back of my neck (see my gallery) and if I wear my hair down, you can't even see it. It was my first tattoo...got it two years ago. Haven't had problems with it at all...

*shrugs* If it was a picture of a devil or some kind of nasty ugly thing, I could see how it would be offensive to some people, but a peace sign is nothing for people to get upset over.

I hate reading threads like this.

"what kind of piercing would look good on me?"

    "what's a cool tattoo idea?"

    blah blah blah.

well, if you did read it it says what i want but further opinon on the 2. i was hoping someone would tell me if the tragus was an incredibly painful piercing or tell me a horror story & for the peace sign i could practically do anything: make it oblong, have vines growing around it, use bright, psychedelic colors, just black & simply, whispy, chinese calligraphy-like peace sign: see there are so many choices!:)

as for my tragus piercing, i went to do it & the girl said she needs this more experienced piercer to be there to help her so i have to wait 'til monday :( oh well worth the wait....

do you ever just wonder: what if there's a secret piercing that barely anyone has? my answer would be genitals but after doing my research all i could think of would just be crazy surface piercings, like one on your hip ewww!:p

I don't even have to hide my big neck tattoo (check my gallery) I don't have long hair, I don't try to hide it with clothes, and if I would, I don't know how I could do that loool. Most people just don't give a fuck, I mean it's no big deal, it's no evil thing, or violent, racist or sexist, ya know?

ya for sure. any job i'd want wouldn't require it hidden cause i want to do nonprofit work where they'll accept me, not some low paying job, i'm tired of doing stuff i dont enjoy.

also time has changed to where it doesn't matter if one has a tattoo or not. so many people do. at this point im only going to put holes in my body tho. most people would look better w/ tattoos than i do. i dont know i guess i feel like i cant carry one that well. self-esteem crap. thats not why im waiting; i just think not yet.

    anyways im stoned.

hahahaha nice I'm stoned too. Yeah low salary jobs get very frustating with time that's so true. I'm going back to art design school to learn something for a job other than working on farms and green houses. I think that's a good way to go, it's normal to look different when you are an artist, people don't expect you to dress like people working in offices. PLUS that's what I'm good at, arts.... yay!
