My dad's a sales rep, so he had dozens and dozens of books shipped to him as samples. So, he and finally got the balls to go around multiple Borders and Barnes and Nobles returning these books, claiming they were gifts that weren't wanted. We ended up getting abou 600 dollars in store credit between all the strores. We split it in half and went on a big shopping-spree. I usually wouldn't spend money on these cds because I have so much I want (Except Indie records aren't as easy to find in Borders/Barnes and Nobles.) I still have 80 dollars left on my Border's card, and my dad has 112 dollars on his Barnes And Nobles card. And tomorrow, he and I are going to a different one to get 115 dollars worth of more stuff. I mean, I can't believe people spend 15, 20, 25 dollars for these crappy, gag books.I just thought it was unbelievable to get 17 free cds and had to share Anyone who's got a recent book that they don't want that was sent by a relative who doesn't know you at all, I recommend trying to get store credit. They don't ask any questions. I mean, I turned in Girleology and "How to Plan A Wedding." No Questions asked. Try it.
I never really got into the downloading...But sometimes I like to find things on LimeWire to scope out for unreleased stuff or hard to find songs from artists. Oh, but you know what, my college has a block against downloading music. I dunno, I always liked having the cd, it's fun collecting them
Ah, what a bitch. The college block, I mean. And actually I think if you download rare, unreleased stuff its not illegal at all... there are websites that offer that stuff all over the internet. Same goes with most live tracks. Something to do with the rights of the company that own the CD tracks not being violated, or something.
My Bestfriend runs a music store... so I get a lot of my cd's for free or at cost. She just gave me the new Hawksley Workman, Ben Harper's newest, that Jack Johnson lullaby one for the baby and a replacement Tegan and Sara (I too am a Quinn Twin fan). I don't enjoy down loaded music... to me, part of the enjoyment is the cover art, the liner notes and everything that the Artist has put into the whole package. I mean, if you listen to Britney Spears, I am sure a downloaded version would suffice... doubt there is a lot going on with her liner notes.
I'm going to assume Limewire. If not, you should go there anyway, they have everything and more there.
wow i guess your lucky but i guess it might take you a long time to go through them all "i'm currently going through that"
I am soooooo jealous. There are a few cds I really want right now but can't afford to get. Congrats to that
