Ahhh what to do

Man it sucks for history i have to come up with something i like about the country right now and i cant come up with a single thing. what to do what to do

 

talk about a really pretty national park or something

 

Maybe talk about the relatively good economy, the huge aomunt of culture, the variety of education, actually having parties which are atl east slightly different in politics, the music, the arts, etc.... there is way too much to talk about.

 

i was thinking about talking about how beutiful this country is( thats not gunna last long) but i dont know if my teacher means that or what

 

ohh yeah and our economy is shit sence our buddy bush so thats not an option but all ur other ideas are good

Try to compare it to the economy of less developed countries.

Go to the CIA factbook, and just look at the basic economy info (I'm sure that you know what it is, if you indeed know that the economy has gotten worse)... and compare the nice categories of the US to lets say, Honduras, or Ghana, or even a country in the 3rd stage of the Demographic Transition such as China...

 

I'll agree that this country sucks sometimes, but we have it a lot better than a lot of people. You should like the fact that you are able to go to school and then come home and use the internet.

 

If I had the assignment I'd write about how it is great this country has so many well developed civil rights/women's rights/peace organizations. I'd talk about how in a time as shitty as now, we can still have protests with 500,000 people in a peaceful manner and such.

See, the trick to writing essays that have a specific topic is to manipulate it to mean what you want it to. If you wrote about what I said, you are following the topic but you still get to bitch about the country to no extent, and talk about peace and rights all at the same time. Its a winner.

Can you explain why the economy sucks because of Bush? Its statements like this that piss me off, noone listens to educated teens like me and Pavel when it comes to politics when there is statements like yours, in which you show no backing up of your statement. The economy is bad, but can you link it to Bush?
