I've had this problem ever since I could remember and it SUCKS BIG TIME! Did I mention that it SUCKS!!! Anyone who knows about how stressful it is to not be able to go the bathroom the way you should knows how bad it can be. I should be on a fiber diet but its so hard to stick with that. Is there anyone who can give me any help on this situation? Do you think I should go to the doctor and get my system cleaned out.
You should try doing "The Master Cleanse". It's a 10 day cleanse that really cleans you out of all the built up gunk in your intestinal tract & colon. Check out the following sight http://www.therawfoodsite.com/mastercleanse.htm if you want to find out more about it. I think it could very well help your situation. It is a type of fast so all you do is drink this mix of water, fresh squeezed lemon juice, grade B maple syrup and (optional) cayenne pepper for 10 days. At night before bed you should drink an herbal laxative tea to help loosen your stuff up and in the morning you should do a non-iodized sea salt flush on an empty stomach to flush you out (ya gotta chug this). Whenever you get hungry you drink your lemon-maple-water mixture. It's tough to do your first time out and the third day is the feakin' hardest, but if you can do it I think it'll work wonders for your system. You should definitely get the book on it. It's about fifty pages or so and goes over what to expect and all that stuff. If you don't wanna do the whole cleanse I'd suggest at least the herbal laxative tea before bed and the sea salt water flush in the morning. 2 teaspoons of the sea salt with 32 oz. of water, chug it as fast as you can and then don't go anywhere for a good hour, hour 1/2 cuz this will definitely make you go. The reason I recommend the whole cleanse is because your problem could be deeper than just not being able to go... You could have serious blockage that needs clearing up. Good luck! Keep us posted on your progress!
do you eat lots of bananas and rice? Those foods will bind you up something awful. Most often, though, chronic constipation is a sign of a food allergy/intolerance. For my oldest daughter, it's wheat and dairy that causes it. She has to eat lots of food that would give a person like me the runs in order to keep herself regular. Grits will clean you out. Grits with peaches will really clean your pipes. Or maybe you simply don't drink enough water. that would be easy enough to fix. Taking probiotics and/or digestive enzymes may also help. I have heard that chronic candida sometimes causes constipation, too (but it gives me the opposite problem).
I was in the hospital twice for this problem. I feel your pain. If you need to get cleaned out the doctor can give you something for that. Zelnorm works to start you off but I wouldn't recommend taking that all the time. Once you become regular switch to prunes. I eat 6 prunes in my cereal every morning and it's worked awesome for me. No more pain or problems. I wish you well.
water and fiber: not oatmeal but veggies and whole grain bread/ rice/ pasta. those are your basic ingredients. Also, fully chewing your food (rather than eating fast while talking...which is what we want to do when we have a social dinnertime, or just want to get "dinner" over with.) and exercise.
You are right. 100 percent correct. The person who was taking care of me when I was very little actually didn't know how to parent a child at all and to this day takes the blame for my problems. Constipation being one of them. But that isn't the cure, just knowing that I am anal retentive. And I am not really a neat freak at all just more of a very nervous person.
Most people don't really understand CHRONIC constipation though. Once your backed up nothing will clear it except an enema, which sucks.
eat fruit for breakfast and up until lunchtime DO NOT EAT CEREALS if you have this problem they will f*ck you up, especially muesli and things like weetbix/weetabix (they look like large biscuits of wheat as wide as your palm.) eat less meat follow this regimen for one week and see what gives.
I have a friend with this problem. I don't have any advice, but I just wanted to say that I hope you're feeling better, and I'm sending good thoughts your way!
ive had this problem for about 3 years, and my family has a long history of dealing with chronic constipation, so ill be dealing with it for most likely my entire life. to start you off, i would recommend going to see a doctor. they will probably perscribe you to taking stool softeners, like senokot and milk of magnisia. those are over the counter so you could pick them up and see if they work for you. ive gotten to the point where i am not constantly in pain and constipated, but i have had to make fiber cereal a DAILY part of my food intake. it really has changed what i eat. i like most of what i eat to have fiber in it. they also have that new fiber stuff that you can mix into your food, havnt tried that, but it could help up your fiber intake. hope all goes well with you, feel free to pm me cause i could talk about this forever lol.
