It is real and it did not hurt anymore than getting my ears or nose peirced. There was no bleeding and no infection.

Well, the reason I ask is that people are always asking me what it is and what it means. I usually ask them what they think it means first. I've gotten a ton of neat answers. Everything from Led Zepplin, to the Holy Trinity, to the sign for the Triple Goddess and phases of the moon.

Yea its a symbol of trinity, either the law of the threefold in wicca or also its a symbol which can span across a lot of religions with different meanings. Some would say, eark, body and spirits, some maybe Body mind soul. Etc etc. The three small loops represent the the trinities you choose to represent with it and the circle which links them all is a symbol of unity.

Same as this is both the symbol of the holy trinity and the wiccan/pagan maiden, mother, crone.

that's john paul jones' symbol (led zeppelin keyboard/bass player)

I've read that it's some kind of Rosicrucian symbol that reflects confidence and talent on someone who wears it.

    it's cool though.
