good evening forum'ers! i think i'm due for my once a year thread :H soooo i'm making it one that i hope can turn people on to some exxxxcellent music. check out the label known as ninja tunes - www.ninjatune.net - home to some of the most bad-ass electronic musicians/djs out there today; in my humble opinion. of particular interest to me are amon tobin, dj coldcut and dj food. find yourselves a copy of kaleidiscope by dj food...OH!! what an acoustic orgasm this album is!! blending beats, jazz, heavy on the bass, even a bit of strange psychedelica in there as well - just a gorgeous album that you can listen to every track hundreds of times and dare not get sick of. this is by no means some recent discovery or anything, or some new hot sh*t, (these guys have been around a while) but definitely give them a listen to. and if anyone else likes anything similar to these guys - give a shout! get some discussion flowing, etc. -down in fraggle rock, steve
hell no it ain't no recent discovery! But well done for getting people into the ninja tunes. I got a couple of their compilatory albums. Mr scruff.... what a legend!?!
