the more we use up the our reasorces the smarter humans get, so by the time all the reasorces are gone we will be so smart that we would have moved on to other planets and use up there reasorces....what do you think about that, some guy was telling me about this, i dont think it really makes all that since...but whats your opinion

the resources will be long gone well before we have the capability to ship billions of humans to another planet and build a pseudo-atmospheres to protect them.

earth doesn't HAVE to be doomed.

I first hears the concept that humans are a virus from The Matrix. Agent Smith says it I believe. Something along the lines of:

Regaurdless of who said it first, I agree.

I agree that we're a virus. We just seem to be spreading and infecting and eventually killing our world.

how could we possibly be a virus? we are just as important as every other organism on this planet. unfortunately our evolutionary advantage has been knowledge, which of course is not all good. so, no we are not a virus or parasite, but yes we do use our knowledge to exploit other organisms and our environment. oh shit...i forgot what my point was. well either way...WE'RE NOT PARASITES!

"no we're not a fucking virus.."

    humans just make harsh desicions.

    thats why we need knowledge
and wisdom [cause one w/out the other is..eh..raw]
so we can make the right choices in how we live

If you consider the Earth as a gaint organism, humans are damaging it more then helping it. I think overall humans seem to acting with certain parasitic tendencies or maybe doing things from just a lack of knowledge. However, this can change. Humans are really quite differnt then viruses, physically and in the way they live (if viruses are considered alive).

ummm.... I don't think humans are viruses. I mean, aren't viruses really really small??

It's not humans that spread like "cancer," but more like it's some of the greedy corporations, that to that, seeming to grow for growth's sake, without much regard for the businesses they devour. (i.e. Wal-Mart) At least humans are constructing something very worthwhile, when they multiply.

We are are supposed to be spreading and growing. How else can more and more people, come to life? How else can people enjoy having all the children they were meant to have, or "all the children God gives," in a world with so many, many people already, except that people be encouraged to adapt and populate themselves denser and more efficiently, on the global scale at least?
