Ello all! I'm not a vegetarian, but I am starting to eat many organic foods. I know the basic concept of organic, but could someone be so kind as to give me some health/environment benefits that result from eating organically? Any words of wisdom would be appreciated
yes i do, but many website give you long, lengthly reasons why you should go organic, and many websites give you reasons why you should spend money on THEIR products. i just wanted some short reasons from people who would know from experience. anyway, i looked it up anyway, and found out a litttle more
Where to start... first off organic food is WAY better for them environment. Have you ever seen plants being sprayed? The people spraying have to wear all this bio-hazard gear. They wear gas masks and are covered from head to toe in protective clothing. Not one inch of skin is exposed. They spray a shit-ton of poison all over the food we eat. The run off goes right into our rivers and steams poisoning the water and all it's inhabitants and evaporates into the air polluting it and all it's inhabitants. Organic food is also more sustainable. The land is richer and healthier and with proper crop rotation the things we plant help nourish the land instead of depleting it. To control crop loss from bad bugs that eat your grub all you have to do is introduce beneficial insects to take out the bad guys (although I kinda like it when I see li'l holes from where some bug had a meal). Organic food is better for your body. It provides you with healthier food so you, in turn are a healthier being. So... in a nutshell.. organic food= healthier body, healthier planet, healthier living, healthier mind.. for all beings. I believe that if you love yourself, your planet, and all living things that live here with you, you should definitely buy organic whenever you can. I understand this is not always possible, but when it is, definitely do so.I hope this has been helpful to you.
thanks shutterfly, that was just the kind of response i was looking for. much better than some google shit
so you wanted a condensed version so you did not have to read all that lengthy stuff... as with all things in life, it is best to educate yourself and make you own decisions .....not what others tell you or what is cool at the moment....
no, i do research things i want to be a part of, but im saying that the organic websites for google are all trying to sell you a product, and giving reasons why theyre the best. i just wanted to know about organic products, not organic advertisements
try going to the Organic Consumer Assoication. They are VERY informative plus you'll have ways to petition for change, actions to help sustainable living and farm information in your area (where to buy locally) I like the site. d
