people, Cheese wiz was taken out of circulation (and not by me, tho I shed no tears) so, lets reorient this thread, because we are on good territory here!

Rather than defining, lets look at where our personal comfort levels are.

I could work in food if I was at a station away from prepping meat. My last food job was a sandwich shop with a hard to spell name (16 years ago) and I really disliked slicing meat.
battering for "K.F Cruelty" (second non ag job) sucked, but baking biscuits and making slaw didn't (OK, having arms that deep in cold glop was not for the arthritic)
picking peaches (first job ever) was OK, but hard on the body.
selling pumpkins and pansies (and straw and mums in a parking lot nursery) really rocked.
reporting can go both ways. The good part is, if I have too much garbage, I can find something I resonate with (arts, people features, whatever)

a nd the question is how close or far from your ideal can you accept to get the bills paid and all that jazz?
what options do you see for yourself..and what's the dream job/ lifework?

oh no no no! i was meaning in place w/ chessewiz's arguement. i too live w/ people who eat meat, but same as you said. seems like we would be forced to live in isolation & i'm not for it, but considering his arguement i don't think we are "allowed" to do ANYTHING!

shouldn't we all just do what we want??
