I believe our desire to put our tongue in someone's mouth is more than just for the physical sensation. We are psychologically predisposed to want to do certain things, and those things cannot be rationalised. In the same manner, some guys desire to put their tongue up a girl's arse.

I was just referencing the reason we have sexual desires: to ensure the continuation of the species. That is where our sexual desires come from. Some of these desires directly encourage procreation (ie having sex) and some just encourage sexual conduct in general (ie sticking our tongues in places), thus indirectly encouraging procreation. All of these desires support procreation, and therefore people with these genes will pass them on. Logically speaking, our distant ancestors were probably less pervy than we are.
