i have tons and tons of fabric - i've been collecting it for years. i've used quite a bit, but still have so much more. cool stuff too, lots of psychedelic colors and earth tones and stuff. now i'm moving, traveling, and basically not having a space of my own for quite a while, and need to get rid of my fabric.

i don't know what to do with it all. i thought i'd cut a whole bunch into squares and sell it on ebay and other places. the ebay stuff is okay, but i still have so much more. any ideas on what to do with all this cool fabric? if it weren't so neat, i'd just give it away or somethin. but it would make some awesome patchie clothing!

    is anyone interested in trading?

what would you want for it in trade? I mean, everyone here makes something different, right?

i'd trade for whatever. i guess some clothing, like a simple shirt. i realize that everyone has something different, which would make it so cool. i love home made things, and they take up way less room than 6 huge bins of fabric.

what kinda stuff would you like in a trade?
I'd love to get my hands on some more fabric, and I have tons of clothes, majority homemade, many never worn. Or I could make something for you...I crochet, sew (don't have a serger though, but my seams are reinforced) and make hemp jewlery....interested in any of that stuff?

trading is cool! that is the only thing that stinks about fabric....it is a pain in the neck to move it! It is very heavy too! Maybe make some cool pillows/curtains for your new place! Do you have a pic of all your fabric? Maybe i'd Snag some off of your hands!!

sure. this is the generic photo i've been posting. i can be much more specific - i also have so much, it'd be difficult to show it all! i have some huge pieces (yards and yards and yards) and some smaller ones. i can pre-cut it for you into squares (that's how i'm selling it on ebay) or give you big sections.

at any rate, what i'd really like is one or some lightweight dreaddie hats for my move to central america, and also some simple tops and maybe, if you are satisfied with the trade, a simple hand made dress.

however, like i said, i really am open to whatever. lemme know what you think!
also - this fabric really is pretty awesome - i have different boxes for different colors, and they look so cool together.

shit - it's now letting me upload these pics - please look in the 'sell it swap it' section of this forum under kayte's posting for fabrics for sale or trade.

if you are interested, i'd be happy to email you variousl pictures.

If you're heart set on getting rid of it, ebay or something might be your best deal. Although if you feel charitable, there are many charities that work with 3rd world countries who are always looking for raw materials to send so that they can make their own clothes....
