ok so my doctor said I have one of the worst cases of anemia he has ever seen. I was even in observation yesterday having potassium (have that dificiency too) and other vitamins bagged into me. I already am a constipated person, I don't eat meat so how can I add iron in my diet without becoming more constipated. I eat enpugh calories but apparently I suffer from malnutrition. what can I do? I am busy, don't like to cook for myself and eat out at least once a day.
You 've just todl us what ur problems are.... the MAIN is not eatign MEAT... u choose ur way of life right ? do u wanna suffer more, adn die earlier , adn suffer more durign older stage of ur life ? if no.. ADD meat, not burger kind r pizza. But CLEAN, FULLY COOKED, prepared with potatos( carbohydrates,Vitamin C ) veggetables-MALNUTRITION, frutis, adn milk and jucise ,a dn in 1-2 weeks you will be shocked how u feel and ur body feels. Hope you get it, if not. nobody BUT you decides ur future , and destiny.
lynsey, its such a shame that its nearly impossible to make out what our little beaver friend is trying to say... i share your problem with frequent constipation. its interesting though; i was told by a doctor (and a shitty one at that though) to cut down on meat; as that would make my food less heavy in my system and flush out faster in turn. i dont know how logical that is because i followed that advise, but nothing really has changed. i dont know what to tell you to DO, because every doctor ive seen seems to have completely different (and contradicting) methods of a 'cure.' good luck with everything; i know this is very painful and something unfortunate and a pain to deal with :/
people who are prone to constipation should never eat rice or bananas. If you eat those things, stop now or be forever stopped up. If you are sensitive to wheat or gluten, or even dairy, eating that can make your constipation worse. What you should be eating are things like peaches, prunes, green peas, pears, apricots (just think the letter "P"). But remember that frequent or chronic constipation is often a sign of food allergy. Drink lots and lots of water, at least a gallon every day. For iron, you can cook in a cast iron pot every day. You can and should be eating lots of leafy green veggies. The darker green the better. Beans are a good choice. I don't know if it's true for adults, but drinking lots of cow milk will cause infants and young children to be anemic, that's why infant formula has so much iron added to it.
May not be pretty but it is possible to understand the message. Apparently, the current diet is severely lacking in nutritional value. This is silly considering its inconvenience/ additional cost over 'normal' food. Try eating 'normally' - meat/ taters/ all that nasty stuff. Prolly be healthier overall in the Long Run... *c*
HAHAHAHAHAHHA yet again ..... NO WONDER y u followed that advise HAHAHAHA...... Maybe next time try to explain ur problems fully and clear to ur doctor ? or maybe even prepare at home with making list of main things you should tell him. do u really have big ass ? i 'm just curious. andcrs2 - Of course its possible, you have to read between the lines and think about what've read... its not wrriten by soemone who just gives his opinion about healthy eating, It is wrriten by someone who turned his life into Heaven by making healthy diet, workign out, and not forgetting to Learn as much as you can.... I always knew Texas has smart guys !
Beaver, lay off personal attacks, or you'll be out of here. Everyone else, quit making cracks about BK's typing. It is legible...just takes more effort. lyndsey, look for liquid vitamins with iron. I'm remembering a Floridix liquid from the days I used vitamin supplements. Cast iron is a great idea, esp with dark greens aside from spinach. for blockage, senakot for a couple days and then up the fiber and water. Although I tend to NOT suggest laxatives, If you can get to baseline, so to speak, and improve habits, then they served a useful purpose. exercise helps too, as its all muscle tone! tell your sweetie you need to dance for your life (and you kind of are, if the stuff is impacted enough, its affecting absorption) Also, eat slowly and really chew the food.
http://www.florahealth.com/flora/home/canada/products/r4771.asp This Floradix seems like really good stuff and I've had it before with no troubles. It has a strong herbal kind of taste to it but didn't cause any stomach problems at all. Relying on supplements only is no good, but for an instant boost and to help whilst you change your diet, something like this seems ideal really...
drumminmama - AS you wish my queen ! I am just trying to help... but if they dont get it,,, they suffer not me ..
make yourself some fruit and vegetable juice and drink about half a litre. in about an hours time all your worries will be over.
