How do you tell if someone is gay in random environments?

Aside from the obvious stuff like earrings, and stereotypes is there any way you can tell if someone is gay or not do you think? One way in which I can tell I think and perhaps the only way is when a guy is walking by I stare him in the eye and if he stares back it usually means he's gay and usually also interested in me. If he on the otherhand says "WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU STARING AT Me" he is an oblivious straight guy . Which happened yesterday at this concert when I was with some straight friends and I was just like "I WASNT STARING AT YOU, what're you talking about?"

 

No, there really is no way to tell. I think "gaydar" is absolute bullshit. No one has ever guessed I am gay without me telling them. People who think they can tell who is gay by looking at them only figure out the fem types.

 

gaydar works to a certain extent. i've picked up on a few people.

 

I think the "gay-dar" thing woks better amongst we females, it's pretty easy to pick out the gay chicks from the straight ones.

 

Not always true, one dude in high school would always yell "FAG" at me in the halls and "WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU STARING AT ME." He was cute. Then after we graduated he came out. Obviously, he said that stuff to me to hide his own queer. And he turned out to be the biggest whore! He came on to me at the bar like, "I always had a crush on you." That was weird. I mean, he only came onto me because it was last call and all of the cute sluts had all ready had him. He was a jerk before he came out and after. I felt sorry for him because we all go through shit, but I went home alone that night.

I've said this before. Here's what you do. Don't stair at the dude all dopy eyed. Wait until a hot girl walks in the room and see how long he stairs at her. Then go over and ask him if he noticed what she was wearing. If he says something about the gold cross that was dangling over her decolletage -then he's probably straight. If he says, " I don't know how women can walk in those high heels" -then he's probably gay.

I'd say my gaydar is about 80%. That's with lots of practice.

No you can't tell just by observation. very few can tell I'm gay unless I tell them, in fact I've been told that ....

"if we hadn't met I wouldn't know you're gay because you don't come across that way. You don't have any of the obvious traits. Me on the other hand have the swishy walk and talk, but I'd never pegged you as being gay"

I am who I am and just go about life as I always have.

I've eyeballed another guy and have given the quick upward head snap in a greeting and have gotten the same back. I don't stare him down, I make eye contact to acknowledge him but thats it.

 

guys, jus to ask, what are the charactoristics of the fem types. i wanna kno the difference or the deal-breaker between a gay guy whos still tryin ta hide it from a guy whos straight but jus feminine for whatever reasons.
