I worked in a home (respite-relief worker) and the family has 2 cats and had 5 kittens but now 4. One day i walked into work and there the daughter came up to me (mind you i have no tolerance for animal cruelty... i LOVE animals),,, and said i just accidently caught the kittens neck in the fidge door. I freeked inside not like yelling or anything. The kitten was bleeding internally blood and all poor thing. all i did was cry that day and i was supposed to be working and have high spirit. So the girl that was training me to work just had us go out down to the river. Mind you this really was a accident. So i kept calling to make peace w/ the family to know i cared about the animal and it had shallow breathing ... At one point the lil girl said "it died" so we buried it in our backyard. I said oh? shocked. When i went to work the next day i was sittign down in the chair and i said which cat is that hunny? She said the dead one? I said what? what the heck? what are you talking about ? Why is it here ? Why isn't it in the ground? Why are you making this kitten suffer? She said i went outside and i went to the place where he was burriede and i heard a meow so i dug the kitten back up and now hes still alive (just barely). Previous to that i asked the mother if i could help her find a solution to the situation and she said yes so I called the HS and no one was opened and i got a hold of some Man that came to pick the kitten up it was so dehyderated that it had to be put down. If you don't report a kitten/dog that is prsent in your space you will get charged. I almost did!! thank the Lord i reported
Yeah... Why Did No One take the Kitten to the Vet???? Strange...To just Leave it Suffereing All Day!!!
because they didn't want to spend lots of money on the kitten .. it wasn't my responsibility to take it to the vet it was the families responsility. So yeah if they took it to the vet the 1st day it would have lived. but they waited 4-5 days so creul!!
Sometimes you gotta take things into your own hands even if it's not your responsibility. I'm not raggin' on you... but if it were me.. I would've taken her to the vet myself. Poor li'l bugaroo.. if the family that harbored the kitten didn't want to spend the money on her taking her to the vet they shouldn't have had her nor did they deserve her. Evil bastards! Stupid kid! How do you "accidently" catch a kittens head in the fridge door?! Oh it just burns my blood...
Also if you would have called around and explain the situation some vets will care for it for free. There are still good people out there.
i know there are but who i worked for refused to take the kitten to the vets unfortunately!! i called the humane soc though so the kitten could get help
