Hi, new poster here. My friend is sending an 8th of pot from New York to Indiana next week via mail. Is this fairly safe, and are there any precautions he should take?

I have a buddy that lives in Seattle and i have him send me 1/4Oz's every once in awhile and he sends in a vacuum sealed bag, and i haven't had any problems receiving his stuff. By the way i live in South Dakota and it makes it here fine. I have also heard of people buying like 6"in candles that are kinda wide and cut them in half. Then hollowing them out a bit so the zip lock back can fit in there. Then resealing the candle together with a lighter so the wax melts and makes a seal. I have heard of it working but never tried...

That candle idea sounds like it'd work pretty good actually.

my friend had received a pound through the mail form florida. They hid the weed in several bags and put the bags in a bunc of peanut butter containers and resealed them

throw peanut butter and coffee in with it, and don't use the U.S. Mail Service if you can help it, use another private carrier

Really, so maybe UPS ground? Why not the US Mail Service?

the ability to ninja anything in the mail deserves a hardy handshake with a 5 dollar bill inserted. Shipping anything illegal would be hard but I'm glad that I just gotta deal with local shit

The candle method is very successful. However, I wouldn't go to that much trouble for a single 8th.

Yeah, it's just we're not sure how else to get it here. He's afraid of bringing it on the plane.

for just an 8th, vacuum seal it. If a vacuum sealer isn't an option you can double baggie it and use a lighter to seal each bag. Or if you have a few days you could order some "smelly proof bags" (available at http://www.everyonedoesit.co.uk/online_headshop/Smelly_Proof_baggie.cfm?iProductID=615) and then send it via fed-ex or dhl or whichever one suits your fancy. I'd only use the candle for 1 oz or more (or maybe for a REALLY good 1/2 zip)
