The Satanic Bible is actually never claimed to be the word of any god...just the instructions for what is more a religion of atheism than theism. According to a dozen different people, a dozen different books are the word of god. Last time I mixed booze and cough medicine I was pretty sure I heard the word of god through some radio static. The bible -is- a collection of stories and fables recorded throughout time and translated via many generations. This doesn't mean it isn't the word of god - but just because some believe it is doesn't make it true.
I'm not sure what you're trying to say. Regardless, even if it was originally the word of God, which is preposterous, it has been translated so many times that its original meanings have been lost. If you tell this to people, they don't want to think about it. They'd rather go with what they've been told than acknowledge the simple fact that even if it was originally what they think it is, it isn't anymore. Even the word of God is subject to human error.
Supposedly God spent that last 1500 years making sure that the song remained the same. Your opinion of that is based on faith I suppose.

That was more or less a joke. But in response to your earlier comment, Ironcore, I think the idea that God's been keeping it the same is a bit of copout. Today's Bible differs greatly from earlier texts. What about those? I bet people said the same thing back then. God made sure it stayed correct. Bullshit.

find out when you die, theres no way anyone from any religion can say thiers is right without physical proof, jus cuz its in a book doesnt make it true.
