can any of you think of any crafts for small children to honour the holiday? i'm introducing my three-year-old niece to my holiday observations and she loves to do crafts with me.

    ???

... what you can always do is let nature inspire you. I've done a couple kids crafts for different holidays where we decorated baskets with things like feathers (nature's as well as from the craft store), beads, and flowers and used those baskets to make offerings in the garden. This can be applied to any holiday using flowers appropriate for the season, and colours that coordinate with the holiday.

thanks. baskets are a good idea. we're going to do some baking, too. and i think the stained glass butterflies, etc. suggested also are wonderful. i remember doing those in grade school.
