well a bullet ridden quran thrown at a mosque does seem like a form of intimidation . but just shooting qurans or bibles is perfectly legal ,and I remember the campaign against salman rushdie and the satanic verses bookshops being blown up translators being killed , and I remember lots of books being burned then . Well, for most of these people, hate is their religion. Christianity teaches that we're to love our enemies and pray for those that persecute us, and those people that they're directing all this bigotry toward aren't their enemies anyway. Even if those people happen to call themselves "Christian", it doesn't really mean anything. It's kinda like GW Bush calling himself "Christian" just to get votes. They just do it because it sounds respectable. Beyond that it really has no meaning.
if they did claim to be christian, they must be reading a completely different bible to the one i read when i used to be a catholic! if they are upset at so-called islamic fundamentalists, they should note that the christian faith tells them to Bless those who persecute you: Bless, and curse not. (Romans 12:14). i should also quote, Jesus demands love even for enemies (Matthew 5:43-44). if they claim to be strong christians, they are clearly deceiving themselves. these acts go against everything that chrisitianity stands for.

just because people in the religion are violent and cruel and intolerant, doesnt mean the religion itself is violent and cruel and intolerant. the Koran teaches to NOT kill christians and jews because they believe in the same god. but some followers of isalm still do it anyway. the bible preaches to love your enemy and to not kill ANYONE. it preaches equality and tolerance of everybody. doesnt mean followers are going to do that. the religion itself is not bad. ill admit i think the whole jihad part is completely wrong, but im not muslim so i dont fully understand everything. there are good people in all races, groups, religions and cultures, and there are also bad people. also about the stuff you said about mohammed, if thats true or not, i dont know, but you think jesus was as good a man as hes made out to be? the early christian church put together the bible about 150 years after jesus died. when they did they EXCLUDED many religious texts that talked about jesus. they excluded the Gospel According to Mary Magdaline, the Gospel According to Judas, The Book Of Eve(an old hebrew text talking more in depth about adam and eve. many stories in there are in the torah and koran but not the bible), there was even one book that was TRUE that talked of jesus' childhood. the part that the bibles missing. and jesus KILLED one of his friends. he worked on the sabbath(a big no no back then). the church excluyded these books because they had things in them that diddnt fit perfectly with jesus' teachings or not accepted in that world. some were filled with sex and incest(book of eve), some put bad people in good light(gospel of judas), some gave equal rights to women(gospel of mary magdaline), and that one book shows jesus was NOT god but a man.he was NOT sinless, but he actually committed murder. the church also edited the original texts. the texts were individual books around for a long time. they changed them. the original creation story is the one in the Koran. christians originally had that story, but it changed. they forget to mention that adam and eve had more kids. thats because obviously Cains wife was his sister. incest HAD to happen because they were the only people on earth. mary magdaline was NOT a whore, but was portrayed that way in the bible because the church diddnt think it was right to have a woman as an apostle, which she was one. she was closer to jesus than peter. what about the crusades? the christians started them and BURNED and DESTROYED many muslim masques(sp?) along the way. they killed many innocent people, not just soldiers, but women and children too. in one incident, they had no food so the raided a muslim town(but also had christians and jews in it) and brutally slaughtered every single person in there and ATE them. the only reason they won the first crusade was because of sheer numbers. they lost everyone after that. they even sent in thousands of CHILDREN to fight one crusade. the pope thought god wouldnt let children die. boy was he wrong. thousands of kids from 9-13, against a highly trained, disiplined muslim army. of course the kids were slaughtered. so before you bash one religion in particular, look at other ones too. if you dont believe me on any of this shit, look it up. and if you dont believe those sites, there are shows on history channel where i got this information. and if your gonna say the history channel is wrong, then your pretty damn stubbern
mr.morrison Exactly Not because of that, We (Muslims) don't fight or kill those who are not killing and fighting us, whether they are Christians, Jews or even Atheists etc. I don't think they are doing so because they are a mere Christians or jews or from other religions, if you are talking about the Terrorists today, they are killing Muslims as well. There are similar punishments in the Bible and Islam, very normal, the God of the Bible And Qur'aan is the same one, isn't our topic anyway. The people who do such things as described above (the video of a bullet ridden holy book)have no respect for the values and opinions of others. I have to say I am, in principle, agaqinst the ideas presented by all religions, but I respect enough a persons right to practice a religion because maybe they are right and I am wrong. Dont let this incident make you believe anything other than that the people who did this video are idiots - probably too young or too misguided to understand that even the U.S government would be appalled to think that such an act could take place on the steps of a building deemed a holy place by a great many people One day those people may grow up a bit (mentally mature a little more) and then regret their actions, or perhaps they will realise that even their government has some respect that they do not. The fact that the FBI is investigating means someone in the government or a sphere of influence, was disgusted enough to take some action - take heart from it - it means not everyone in Washington politics is bad.

IMNSHO anyone who practices this kind of hate, no matter what name they give their god, is really just worshiping their own fear. These people are everybodies enemy, their own most of all.
