you dont look native.are you one of those people that find out that they mite have native ancestry then go around telling everybody their native.if i found out i 'mite' have german ancestry does that make me german?
just curious, the reaso i ask is that there are so many pretend natives out there that it offends the real natives.the ones that live on the rezervations and whose ancestors fought the us cavalry.and yes i'm native.i'm chippewa from minnesota.i speak and understand our language and the importasnce of keeping it real and not worrying.so dont you offended if i wonder about where u coming form in claiming ti be native

No...im am Scots and Welsh...Native only to Europe....when have I once claimed to be "native" ? I am proud beyond words of my own ancestry and have no need for anything "native"....believe me...i hate those people man...i am the guy slapping europeans around telling them to let go of their fantasies...and to look into the roots of our Great Tree...and find their ancestors there...and respectfully leave anothers alone....if you took time to read my essays in my journal then you would have no need to ask silly questions...

It seems that...in ignorance...that you assume anything with a drum..a feather..and some fur..MUST be "native" or "wannabe native" and then it is you who are give discredit to "native" people by your stereotype.....

In the drum ritual photos...you think i want to be indian...when I am dressed in a more European shamanic regalia...my drum is Celtic...granted the flute is native...but is a gift from a brother.... but thats the problem with you natives....you like to think everything is a mimic of something you think you all had.....its not...so until you understand my ancestors...the Children of the Mother Danu....then mind not what I do...because you would be stuck in your own ignorance trying to figure it out..

everyone had an ever so great grand mother who was 'native' to somewhere. in a time when the people IN THAT PLACE, whereever that place might happen to have been, learned from that place where they were the sacredness of THAT place and how to live in it.

now almost everyone has ancestors from many different places. i don't see how that means we can't still learn from whatever place we are in the sacredness of that place and to live in harmony with it.

i am awaire of what people who ARE living where or near where their own ancestors did have reason to be distrustful of the traditions from which they draw their identity being misconstrewed and misrepresented, and i'm not questioning or opposing the validity of that.

but i still see the sacredness of all places as being of as great a signifigance as where someone else may have come from as a resault of events which took place before their own adulthood and possibly their own birth.

i don't mean to diminish those who have always been in a place at all. rather that everyone who is in that place now, needs to honestly learn from them how to live there.
