Hi~ I've been reading these forums here for only a short time and I was wondering if there would be people willing to share some of their communal living experiences (those living in a commune or who have lived in one)? Just some things to think about: Was it a good or bad experience? What did you like most/least? Which commune did you prefer? Why? I know there is a communal directory that tells about the values/environment/setting and such about each commune and I have visited that site. But I feel that nothing speaks to such an experience, as the actual experience. I'm planning to go and visit a few before I take off in May and I was hoping someone could give some recommendations/dissuasions/experiences to help me with some of this decision making. I can only visit so many and this will help to narrow it down. I'm in the process of getting rid of my "stuff" and saving some $ for the journey. I appreciate any shared stories. Peace~ Gina
Great thread Gina, I'm looking forward to reading the responses. I've just recently formed an interest in communal living. I've been working towards a goal of purchasing an organic farm for myself oneday, but I can see the importance of cumminty and know that I have a need for friendship with like-minded people. Thanks again for starting this thread, Lee
Hi Lee~ Thanks for sharing. I see your other posts to IvoryVision and as long as we continue sharing our thoughts and process, we can learn from each other. BTW I love your quote...so true! Peace~ Gina
