I'm not sure how the grass feels about it. If the grass would pay me as much to leave it alone, As my landlord's paying me to cut it, I would leave it alone. But so far, it hasn't made any offers. And so, I guess I will go cut the grass.
Reading this thread, I started thinking that it's weird that there hasn't been a group that started protesting grass cutting. You know, there are people that protest all sorts of silly things like tree cutting, abortions, the death sentence, flag burning, seal clubbing, war, free sex, kiddie porn. I could see grass cutting fitting in there with the rest of them.
i should start a group to protest the cutting of grass...where i live they fine you if it gets too long... anyone want to sign my petition?
But then I wont make as much money and I'll be forced to eat grass, so the grass is kind of SLO either way.
Fuck yeah. My landlord built a clause into my lease that if he determines it's too long he'll come cut it for $40. I need your landlord.
isnt there already a group for that? the pro-permaculture people are sort of anti-grass. lawns are pretty silly if you think about it ps, reel mowers kick ass
i'm with the idea that lawns are crap. i favor hearty low maintenance perenials, for decoration AND ground cover. prostate cedars you can't really lounge or play cricket on but look really cool, especialy with little trains winding through them. i just tore out a bunch of mint. which doesn't bother me or it bacause even one rhyzome, and you never get them all, and they'll grow back, probably before the end of another couple of months. i've got tons of mint leaves already picked and in little spice jars that i've put them in. before dumping what i pulled yesterday i made a batch of tea from the fresh leaves. =^^= .../\...
