"Yes if we allow them to marry then that will pave the way for other stuff like beastality and polygomy. There is so much polygamy in massachusetts and beastality since gay marriage was instituted. WE are doomed, DOOMED, I say. The gays are recruiting!! They will turn all of us gay!! and then no one will be able to make babies! AND THEY will make us listen to bad techno and dress our selves trendily" *end sarcasm* In case you havn't noticed that was sarcastic, I'm still waiting for a meteorite to destroy Massachusetts, due to too much love. God sure is smiting us good, I'm not sure if I believe in him but he isn't showing much opposition to any of this. You'd think he would have made a volcano appear in the middle of Boston or something by now, but wait, could God actually not care if we love each other? Could he be more worried with people who act like they are on the side of God but send people to murder others? I mean being gay surely must be a MUCH worse sin than ignoring stuff like the Darfur genocide to argue over something as trivial as marriage. Okay, I'm done ranting.
You can't be sure whether he exists or not, although the evidence I've found sadly points to he does not, but I can't be 100% sure so I will just remain Agnostic. No need to waste my time worrying about whether he exists or not, I don't need a reward like heaven to be a good person.
Off topic, but I'm atheist for two reasons. 1) I don't think it exists and 2) If it did, I don't see any reason to worship it. And on topic, I think gays should be allowed to marry and all, though I personally don't see any reason to marry. Why can't words between two loved ones be enough to constitute as marriage?
. If you look in the Bible you'll find a smorgasbord of sins. That's just what it's like. Like a cafeteria. You pick out the sins you want to abide by and pass on the rest. Gay isn't a sin, but as a choice at the smorgasbord of sins it is a very convenient sin. Seeing as 80% of a congregation isn't gay they can easily refrain from having homosexual relations and so they choose Gay as the worst sin. It is a very convenient sin in that regard. Once a straight Church Goer has refrained from having a homosexual relationship, (something he was sure to do anyway) he then feels he has the right to look down on the rest of us. We are dirty in his eyes. He, may be greedy, selfish, tyrannical toward his family, spread lies about God and drive an SUV -so he desperately needs someone to look down on. Otherwise, if he faced the facts, he'd have to deal with the prospect that he would be going to hell. It's alot more convenient to hate fags. .
Well , that doesn't give us legal rights, which is the main reason marriage exists outside of religion.
Like I said, gays should be allowed to marry, but I myself see no reason or warrant to marry. If marriage is to be between two (sometimes more if you want to get technical) people, then why do we see the need to dirty it by bringing in all the people that make up the government and/or church? I see the intimacy between two loved ones as more important than any of the benefits of any marriage, straight or gay. I know my view's kind of out there, but that's me.....
