I'm normally a fan of all things dark. I just liked the original Pirates as the antithesis to that. I guess I just went in expecting more of a "fun" movie. It was good for what it was, though.

I've seen it three times, and it was pretty good. It was LONG, though, and I honestly bugged out for about an hour of it. There were a few really really long battle sequences and about four shipwrecks that seemed to drag on forever, probably to portray the helplessness of it all, or something like that, I don't know.

Anyway, the only reason I could see for the whole "cannibalism" sequence was... I guess to show why Jack was afraid to be out at open sea. There really was no point to it other than that, I guess. And the Jack/Elizabeth plotline really gets you thinking about who is going to end up with who in the third movie.

It was long, it dragged on, it wasn't as funny as the first one, but I liked it. It was funny and a great way to begin the summer. But that's just my opinion.

I thought Pirates 2 was AWESOME!!! The theatre was PACKED!!! I had suck a blast, there were very few quiet moments in the audience. They did and awesome job on this one and I hope the next one (comes out next July) is even BETTER!!!
I really love how they portrayed Tia's Bayou! It look so much like the ride! haha! All they needed was a bango. (I live close to Disneyland and go often, but we went to go see the movie in Kamloops, BC, Canada. We were the only ones laughing during that scene, which made it all the more halarious!) When the crew is coming in and Cap'n Jack is standing on the prow of the row boat it looks like the Jungle Cruise ride at Disneyland. lol!

I loved the movie and I can't wait for it to come out on DVD so I can watch it over and over!!!

I didn't think it was as good as the first one, but if you put it together with the third one, it might stand up to the first. One thing is for certain, it was a very entertaining movie. I had a great time, and I fully understand how it's managed to make over 300 million so far. It is easily the best blockbuster movie of the summer.

i thought the soundtrack to this film was better than the first, and can't wait for pirates 3.

did anyone stay til after the credits? having seen the very important extra scene after credits in pirates 1, i did, and there was an extra scene in this one too :D

I loved the movie. Absolutely, positively loved it. THe ending peeved me a bit, but that was it.

Although I must say that I could never agree that it was better than the first one. Ever.

I just saw it for the first time, and i thought it was pretty lame. The story gets boring, and what made the first movie funny now just gets old. Its nice to watch, but no more than that.

I saw this movie three fucking times I love it so much. And I would totally see it again. I was at the edge of my seat the whole time, its action packed.

I am SO excited for the third.

wow. i thought it sucked but i loved the first. i was obsessed with it, saw it like 15 times. they used the same old cliche's from the first, no real new jokes except the one about the dress or nothing. same old johnny grins, not making his dynamics bigger. it's was to fantasy. while the first obviously was it seemed alot more real. and i hated how they didn't even finish it and i have to wait god knows how long to see the rest. but i'll still see it...
