Depends what accent I guess... a southern drawl is a tad different from an East Coast accent and such. Tho yeah some american chics do sound hot!!!
It's all good to me, I know the Southern accent is a lot different to the East Coast one, but I really like em all.
It depends on the accent. I can cope listening to many of them. I have negative identifications with a couple though; LA - Beverley Hills style accents sound insincere and shallow to me. Strong nasal New York accents sound like they're complaining about something. Overall they're fine. (unfortunately they just have to get past the social stigma brought about by years of their government's utterly ignorant and thus disastrous foreign policies!).
Just love the Texas accent, that little southern charm on a chic makes them sound the sweetest ever. Mind you whether they are actually sweet or not is another story.
Southern accent is pretty cool. Most American accents sound fairly cool on film, but when you hear them amongst a crowd of people with British accents they can often sound fairly whiney....
man, i dont know what a eastern coast accent is, prolly cause thats all im around and i hear it as normal. but i dont know how people can stand southern accents. makes them sound uneducated, not saying that they are. and boston accents drive me nuts too. new york accents arnt so bad, but do get old after a while.
Oh yes, the southern accent definitely make people sound more stupid - probably a bit like the British northern accents That's why people like them I think, it helps us to reaffirm our own sense of superiority
i like Americans to be American and Brits to be Brits. it's sad when we lose our heritage and culture. i wouldn't want to go over to America and everyone be using English slang! people need their own identity
Ah kaint stand Suthern American accents y'all. But gawd damn boy, look at the time tharr! Lits saddle up them tharr donkeys and head fer the hills a'for it hits sundown
Err, sorry about that, think I've puffed the peace pipe from the wrong end today (and yes I do like American accents, even southern ones!) ...gawd damn y'all...
Well it's the Irish who gave the Americans their accents largely. Before the mass Irish immigration they were all posh as a pomme....
