So I am watching it right now, and isnt it so much better when they are in England? I mean in America, they find cool old stuff, 1800's and such, but when the show is in England, people have like, whole sets of dishes from the 1600's, and have owned them (at least family-wise) the whole time....
I disagree, it just more gems lying undiscovered where cities are thousands of years old, and not just decades....
they have Antiques Roadshow in USA??? weird. i always would have thought that was far too boring to export!! makes me dash for the remote whenever i hear that awful tune!!!
I have some cool shit but its more like a guy thing, guns. I have an 1873 lever action Winchester and it has some real cool history too. I have a Korean war Mosin Nagant 1953, I have an AR15 stamped goverment property that was issued in Vietnam, a Springfield 01 A1 bolt action from WW2 issued goverment property stamp, and last but least a Soviet SVT 40 sniper rifle from the 50's. I wanted items from acutal combat situations and so far that is my collection. I like to try to think what the holder during its time was thinking.
The only part I like about that show is when they think they have something but they don't..the looks and attitude change on the people are priceless...
