its interesting that hezbollah want the destruction of isreal, they want to have a islamic apartied state where non muslims will be secondclass citizens . hezbollah dont want peace they want victory of islam and the destruction of isreal ,thats how they define peace. now I personally see some wrong on both sides, but for some reason it seems to be cool to attack just one side of a conflict that involve two sides .
I agree. Could some of this have been handled better. Yea, but I think it is past that now. People are acting like the intent here is just to get land back. Wrong. It is about the dominance of Islam and power for their leaders. Why do you think they also are against Muslim led countries like Jordan and Saudi Arabia. The money and power is not going to Islam directly. I personally don't feel sorry for any cowards who purposely try to kill civilians and then run and hide behind civialians. I feel bad for the civialians on both sides but when confronting hiding cowards sometimes you have to root them out of their hiding spots among the civialian population. All you can do is warn the civialians and do your best.
I don't know how I feel in the matter. I feel bad that the people of Lebanon are being attacked (I know a man who is Lebanese), and think it's unfair. But then the nation of Israel has been getting the bum end of the stick for thousands of years... Everytime I list out the pro's and con's for supporting a certain side - I come up with the same thing. Both have good reasons to be supported, but they also have reasons why they shouldn't be. So I chose a neutral position for the meantime. I still disagree with the loss of life, on both sides. I don't agree with that part. Until definitive evidence that details horrid crimes/events that is against one side, I am going to keep my neutrality. So I will support aid and relief groups for both groups until then.
This is Israel's and the PNAC's war, they've been planning it for a long time. Hezbollah made a mistake in trying to negotiate the release of Lebonese prisoners, and these two big players decided the time was right to advance their agenda. Hesbollah is a political party accepted by the Lebonese government they have seated members, you can't paint these people as terrorists, any more than Israel can be painted as a terrorist nation. Wake up folks. But American likes to paint whom they want taken out as terrorists, no matter what the facts prove. What has America done in it's war of terrorism about the IRA, you think nothing because it might be unpopular? But accuse somebody in a foreign land that looks different and speaks a different language, and has no lobbying power, and yeah, it's just like painting native americans as "SAVAGES". And they managed to break them take their lands and put them on reservations.
They still don't have the right to go in and take people's land, though. Look at what they've done to Palestinians for the last sixty years...killing innocent women and children. Now, the Palestinians are just trying to protect their land. The Isrealites...well...the extremists anyway...have gone completely overboard...and the US sure hasn't helped any.
I hate Hizbolla..... I hate Israel But we have to be honest Israel invaded Lebanon 1982 & killed over 4000 civilians...... This was the start of Hizbolla as resisting the invasion. Hizbolla's current agenda is to retrieve Lebanese prisoners (Over 10,000).... They way they do it is simply by kidnapping Israeli soldiers and thes swap them with prisoners... This is how it is done in th past But this time..... Israel took the chance to avoid hitting Hizbolla target and massively destruct Lebanon Look at the below picture to know why many hate Israel & (who support them) Nice gifts to Lebanon
Which is why I stated I condemn the loss of life on both sides. The only reason why the U.S. hasn't stepped in, is that, Israel is doing our dirty work. They are ridding the world of another (and I quote) "terrorist organization." Bush isn't going to stop that. People tend to forget that niether of these sides are innocent players. Hezbollah has had it's fair share of misdeed's and misdoing's. So has Israel. Look: Hezbollah is currently keeping it's people in the high bombing area's to boost death tolls. Why? Because it garners more pity and sympathy for their cause. (You might also note that the article wasn't completely biased towards Israel: "The question is morally whether that right of self defence allows any and every method.") Israel continues to bomb those area's. They also bomb area's where the bridge builders/repair people are (military faction). Why? Because they will rebuild the bridges they destroyed that supposedly carry weapons from Iran. Senseless deaths (considering these people are just doing their jobs). Unfortunately, the "national media" is so anti-Bush, it colors their reporting. If Bush is pro-Israel, the media (and I am ashamed to say, independent too) is going to be anti-Israel. I in no way support Bush, but I do desire an unbiased media. Unfortunately, that isn't going to happen, so I must pick from both extremes and come to a conclusion. And currently it's neutral. Again, so everyone can see it loud and clear: I am in no way supporting either side. Both, despite what you have heard, have their faults. I do not condone the loss of life on either side. I'm sorry if I don't fit into a mold, but deep down in my heart I cannot support/protest a side. This is an unfair situation. Civilians should not be put in the middle to be used as pawns because whoever kills the most wins. They should not also be used as human shields to recieve pity and support. People are living, breathing entities. They deserve respect and the ability to live long, fruitful and happy lives. “We will have peace [with the Arabs] when they love their children more than they hate us” - Golda Meir Take out the part in brackets, and you have a quote that applies to both sides in this dispute: “We will have peace when they love their children more than they hate us” Hopefully, someday it will be achieved.
So that's all you can do?? Do you think Israel is really doing their best to avoid civil casulties? Or have they even "warned" the people in any way? And would you be prepared to offer your home, your life, or the life of your children, if the "cowards" were maybe hiding in your home town....? Who the hell are the cowards anyway!? The side that imprisons two soldiers, or the side that imprisons THOUSANDS of civilian men, women and children.
NPR just reported that the Israelis have been repatedly and deliberately bombing civilian vehicles full of children that are trying to flee the shelling of their villages-many of these vehicles were prominently flying white flags. One man was trying to drive his car to the hospital in Tyre when the Israelis bombed his car full of his children, 30 feet from the front door of the hospital!
Cat Stevens should hope that fortune does not stop smiling on him, and he is not the one that is being burned Yeah and during the second world war - German soldiers ate babies for breakfast because the food was so bad in the german army. At least that was according to the opponents, who in the german press were reported to be drinking the blood of dead soldiers in the belief it would make them better soldiers
At least ones that keep blowing themselves up to kill their citizens Would you say that if they blew up your children on a daily basis. I wouldn't I would be saying lets put an end to this. The last time Israel attempted this they killed the soldiers anyways and then Israel exchanged prisoners for the bodies. Should Israel continue this? Seeing how the US is demonized with false media it does not surprise me nor do I tend to believe it although I do have a realistic view of war and people are going to get killed. The ones who hide behind woman and children and then whine that they are killed. I don't see Israel hiding their soldiers among the civialians, civialians there are just targeted.
Terrorism must be stopped at all costs. Until Hezballa and Hamas are gone from the region, there can be no peace. End of story.
Put an end to it... right. Of course they'll stop hating Israel now. And blowing up some of their children on the side surely helps. Defending any killing of people is just so very morbid to me, I can't say anything else but that I'm completely disgusted. And I feel so sorry for anyone who actually believes that bombing down half a country can put an end to something.
It's unfortunate that all the people who know how to run the world are stuck on internet forums all day.
or, hezbollah and hamas were creations out of desperateness to fight for their freedom/rights ..so let's root out the cause (before 'effect') ? “We will have peace [with the Arabs] when they love their children more than they hate us” - Golda Meir ahhh! if only the memory of the children who're witnessin the bombins of their neighbourhood, family, friends today in lebanon can be wiped off ..we shouldn't be havin them carry feelins of anger, hate when they come of age (hopefully they'll not be under occupation until then and they find it in their heart to let go) and if only the occupation of the palestinian, syrian, lebanese lands did not continue over 50 years, we couldda had the memory of those whose lives have been raped/murdered over and over wiped off the arabs will be in peace when they can protect their children from the weapons of mass destruction bein unleashed upon them by their occupiers and supplied by their "peace-broker"
