Yes it's a good one but in the other hand it don't make a good publicity for LSD... they should put a wonderful scene with psychedelic possitive effect... And we see the acid scene just from the outside... it's less interessent than lookin' a psychedelic scene from the inside..."the camera as the eyes of the tripper"... it's even stronger and not impossible (check "Easy Rider" & "Psych-Out" or "The Trip") but it's a real good movie... rock n roll and all that stuff ...even if the director of the movie don't show really the excess of drugs... Is there a cocaine line in this film ? or hundred of joint? Not a lot ...There's always pressure upon Hollywood to hide some illegal stuff... But the Movie Director is really good ...he can really make without it and give the same vibes...and it don't change 2 much the movie... it's definitly a real cult movie...
Its so funny that this thread came up because I never seen Almost famous before I only caught a piece of it a few months ago... but I was told by a friend it was an awesome movie so ive been looking for it for about a month now and I finally found it at best buy yesterday so i will be buying it in the next day or two soo I really cant wait to see it exspecialy now since u all are saying such good things about it. I loved the moive. I only seen it once and i believe it was on tv the time i seen it. I love everything in the moive. The part i remeber the most (i seen it like 3 years ago) is when that singer dude, goes to that party and takes to much acid and he makes that speech ontop of the house...lol Donst he jump?... Anywho id love to see this moive again... Masterpeice... I need to buy it..
I really wanna be a journalist and this story is so farfetched it's just the kind of thing that interests me. A great movie all in all.

Well this is my favorite movie of all time lol. Yes I have the Director's Cut DVD, ! I love the character of Ms. Penny Lane. So free-spirited and real. Cameron Crowe did an amazing job!

Yeah I love almost famous. I must get the DVD. I thought it was one of those inspirational movies where you are all energetic after you watch it and you feel like you need you need to go out and ‘do something’ !?
I watch this movie when I'm feeling down and depressed. It always makes me feel better. . it's like coming home. . as gay as that sounds. I just love the innocence of William. . getting "perverted" by the touring lifestyle, but it never changes him. It reminds me that when you're young, everyone's worried about the world ruining you. . but you never really change who you are. . you just dabble in the worlds around you and you stick around if it's something you love. . or you walk away and find something you love more. . It's definitely Crowe's labor of love. . and it shows. The bootleg cut makes my penis dribble. Sm**chies! Jacob.
