i'm working at harmony enterprises this summer, and i have been learning so much about making beautiful tie dyes! here are some pictures of shirts i have helped make! an earthtone spiral... http://miaplaza.com/uploads/albums/MPA16314697708561/ALB0606273356398.jpg an earthtone yoke... http://miaplaza.com/uploads/albums/MPA16314697708561/ALB0606273358374.jpg and an earthtone mandala... http://miaplaza.com/uploads/albums/MPA16314697708561/ALB0606274446225.jpg that's all i have to share right now, but you can see some that i did not personally make at our website, www.harmonytie-dyes.com
good colors. I love seeing people go beyond the hippy flash! Keep working on that tying. i see some potential there. and check out Ben Jamin's work if you can: he's a tie and color wonder (but and egotistical ass)
Re: "check out Ben Jamin's work if you can: he's a tie and color wonder" Where can I find this at ? Thanks again, Kim
Kim, Dharma had links for the longest... I'll look in my bookmarks. here's another spot for you to see: www.tiedyepaul.com
i love the mandala! everytime i tie dye, my dyes run. its probably because i cant get the bands tight enough
run in the wash, or run together on the cloth? You need to be able to break a few bands in learning how tight to get it. What size bands do you use?
All 3 are great, but especially the mandala! Did you fold the mandala, then tie & dye, or did you use another method? I have not had great luck folding shirts... too thick. I would love to get some tips if you would care to share... Thanks! Judy
