I was thinking of getting a nipple piercing. Does it hurt alot, and is there a high risk of infection? I'm not sure if it is appealing or not to other guys (I am a gay male) but I think it wouldn't be that bad.
well, i am a gay male, and i had both of my nipples pierced. i wasn't really too worried whether others would find it attractive. some do, some don't. it hurts, but it's different for every person. i was expecting it to be worse. the second one hurt a lot more than the first one. i'm not sure about the infection part, but if you take care of it, it should be fine. it takes a while to heal though. I was cleaning mine at least once a day for a month and a half. i say go for it.
well as mushie said it differs from person to person some piercers wont even pierce the nipple if it's too small hell i know i wouldnt. but the pain part as long as you dont hold your breathe and have a decent pain tolerance it wont hurt too much. as for the risk of infection as long as you clean the piercing everyday at least twice a day until it is healed and after it is healed there shouldnt be a problem. i suggest using lukewarm sea salt water for the healing process and after just use regular hand soap and keep the jewelery clean. i remeber my nipples got infected and it was hell but it was my own fault too though i was taking my bra off and my nipple ring got caught on the wire and as i pulled the bra up and over my head the rings were pulled and tore my nipple just a bit. but any who i think that as long as you are happy with having your nipples pierced than other guys will be too.
I cheated when I got my nipples pierced. I got my dentist to give me a bottle of that topical anisthetic they put on your gums so you won't feel the needle. I put it all over both nipples when I left the house and again when I got to the piercing place. I didn't feel a thing until about 4 hours later and that was nothing.
both of mine are pierced and I love them. It's been about a year, and I have had no problems. Yes, of course it hurt to get them done, but it was two quick pains, and only some soreness remained for the rest of the day. They feel wonderful now, but be careful if you have long hair- I often have to unwrap my hair from them because it hurts like a bitch if it gets wrapped around them. Also, wear barbells, not rings, because the rings tend to fuck up nipples after a while because they are pierced with a straight needle, and then the rings pull them into a curve.
