i downloaded a bunch of music videos and saved it on iTunes,
but i can't view it on my iPod because of the screen size or something
i checked the apple web site but it didnt help coz it only shows how to save videos that were bought at the apple music store ( it doesnt work with other videos, those stupid jerks do everything to rip you off )
anyway, i am really sad because the video thing was one of the main reasons i bought this friggin ipod video.

i dont know how to explain this without being complicated. (almost)every video that plays on a computer has a special format called a codec. CODEC stands for compression/decompression. the function of a codec is to make the video file size smaller without actually making the screen size smaller (in most cases). this is to save space on your hard drive among other things. unfortunately, there are a whole lot of different codecs on the internet. your computer needs to have the desired codec on its hard drive in a certain manner to play a desired video file.

Video iPods are the same way about codecs when playing videos. to my understanding, the video iPod only plays two different types of videos that need these specific codecs: H.264 and MPEG-4. that means your iPod can only recognize, decompress and play two different types of videos.

    fortunately:
no worries though. there is still a way to play your video files on that iPod. you can change the codec format of the videos you downloaded using a video converter. i dont really know what video converter is best, but there are many that can do it. most cost money, some give the user a trial period, some use something called 'watermarks', and sometimes you can find one thats free for windows users unconditionally. all you do is convert the desired video file into the codec that can play on your iPod and your set. also, i believe apple offers a video converter that is designed specifically for this task.

sounds like a long process but its not. just download a program, convert, and relax (with your video iPod).

here is an article i found that might help:
