War On Lebanon

Lebanon has been under Israeli attacks for 7 days now, and it doesn't look like it's gonna end soon. Bridges, roads, food and dairy factories, gas stations, electricity centers, buildings, houses,even neighberhoods, not to mentione the national airport, have been completely destroyed.​

In one word, everything we rebuilt since the last war ended in 1991(and which lasted 30 years), is now gone down the drain.

But that is not the worst, since it can be all rebuilt again. People, innocent people have been dying. Collective massacres have been happening, and no one is saying a word, or doing anything about it.

I don't do politics, and I do not support Hizbullah, but what Israel has been doing is just unhuman and anyone with a clear head can see it. you don't burn a whole country and bomb people right and left, when you know exactly who you are going after.according to the last statistics, 220 people are dead, and 850 are injured, and the numbers are still rising. The whole south of Lebanon has been isolated. Every town is seperated from the other and people are lacking food, medicines, and needless to say... homes.

2 days ago, the Israelis gave a warning to the people living in one of the southern villages, they gave them 2 hours to leave. The roads and bridges are destroyed, so the people tried to turn to the UN forces, who refused to see them. eventually, they did try to leave in their vans, and the Israelis opened fire on them... around 20 people died...

Our whole country is being bombared, and a whole population is being exterminated and no one is bothering to do anything about it. not even our governement, All the great men who have been talking and talking since febraury 2005 (when our former prime minister was murdered and the whole freedom and syria out wave came along), now stepped aside, and are just watching.
The lebanese people do not want this war, we didn't even know about it! This (horrible) situation has been imposed on us, we did not know of this war, and we refuse to watch our coutnry burning overnight and families killed in their houses, because of 2 soldiers. it doesn't make sense...

Israel claim that they attack whole Lebanon to "free" the two kidnapped soldiers!!!

They could have just accepted the Kidnapers request , which is to free the Lebanese in Israeli prisons ( aprox 10,000 Lebanes Men & Women & Cilderen in Israel prisons )

But it seems that Israel they don't give a damn about the kidnaped soldiers, but they took the chance to Destry Lebanon.

Putin, President of Russia, also stated that Israel have another far agenda to attack Lebanon than what it looks like

yes, I remember Qana very well, i was around 9 years old when it happened...argh the bodies and the dismembered people... gosh that was a real blood bath, and it's all happening again now...
I just heard the news, another massacre in a southern village, plus they bombed a millitary center last night(one that is NOT armed, their job is to fix the roads and such things) and i suppose they did it to make sure we can't rebuild any road or bridge or whatever... anyway 14 soldiers died and 44 wounded

No that was not there claim. Their claim is that they are going to take care of Hezbollah and push them off their border so that this does not keep happening again and again. I doubt it will stop them though.

Yea they could have caved to demands for prisoner exchange. As a matter of fact they did last time and it resulted in their soldiers being killed and then they exchanged prisoners for the bodies. Negotiation of this type just further incurages new attacks. Even Lebanon's Government is saying they don't support Hezbollahs actions but that it is not powerful enough to control them.

If they wanted to who is stopping them?? I don't see much of a resistence going on. Un-aimed rockets does not make a suitable resistence to occupation. Why would they want Southern Lebanon in this stage of the game? They don't. Then they would have to take care of all the Lebanese.

Ignorance on both sides will keep this going for quite a while yet.

Durring continued terrorism of their citizens.

Hate to tell ya but if they wanted it they would just take it. They are more then capable of doing so. So what is holding them back in your opinion?

I am not employeed in politics or spin mongering as some seem to be here. So no need to quit anything.

 

That's exactly what they are doing with US and England's sanction. We are as guilty as they are. They are only waiting for us to remove our citizens from Lebanon, before they get their way. It wouldn't look good if American and English citizens that are vacationing there got caught in their crossfire, would it.

 

They will not be taking Southern Lebanon. You can call me wrong when it happens.

 

I have to say that I think Israel is just making alot more problems for itself in the long run.

this is more than about 2 soldiers...
israel always wanted , not just the south, but any part of Lebanon they can get. I remember reading about this when I was younger, something about that Israel don't really have natural ressources such as rivers and such, Lebanon on the other hand, is VERY rich with natural ressources...
not to mention, that if they take the south, they can easily solve the palestenian issue by simply, moving them to there...
