Should I go to an emo/indie show just so i can get out of the house? Or should I stay here and not have to listen to crappy music?
go to the show, but dont listen to the music. there might be some cool people you could conversate with.
Live music's usually a lot better in person even if it is stuff I wouldn't ordinarily listen too. Your call.
I decided not to go. Because I won't be drivin there if I want to leave I can't. I went to a show there once and did'nt like it. Looks it's another boring night home...again...for the unthteen time in a row. He was gonna be there from like 5-11 and there's no way i want to have to listen to that for 6 hours.
it's a good thing I did'nt go. I've been researching clubs in around here.I found out that if i want to hear music I like I have to go ino DC. And I already found one club that plays a lot of bands that have a style in which I would pay money to hear. I am now lookin for more.
Ever been top the Birchmere, in Alexandria? I saw Leo Kottke and Mike Gordon there... uhhh, Buckwheat Zydeco, lotsa stuff. Jerry Jeff Walker is playing there soon, too.
they usally get a bunch of blues acts up there(which I love). I just wish there was more to do in Alexandria.
Northern Virginia, for the most part, sucks, in my opinion. I like Norfolk and Virginia Beach area, as far as cities go.
