They make us pay for water (bottles or running), air (for our tires), and dirt (potting soil or garden soil). That makes me sad.

I told my friend that and he went off about how "we don't pay for the resource we pay for the labor", but seriously, don't expand upon why they do it, just think about it. They literally charge you to live. They also charge you to create life (like it can cost thousands just to give birth), so it's very sad

Yah that's life. Or ya could move to Alaska and build a lil hut then you wouldn't have to pay fer water (live near a stream, or a river if ya like swimmin), you don't need air cause you don't have a car, and you got all the dirt any dirtworshipper could ever hope to have/worship. :D

Yeah, um, dude, I'm a fifteen year old. I'm sorry, but normally my parents don't dig wells in our yard, so until I get my own little farm in 10 years, that doesn't seem like really an option...

We aren't really paying for the water and dirt itself . We're paying for whats needed to get those resources to us, such as mixing the garden soil and putting it in the bags, Transporting and cleaning the water. But Air... heh... Thats a tough one.

    You can't do that yourself?

We are paying for the water and the dirt. I know those bottles water comes in don't cost 2 dollars.

You just now figured this out? Aren't you a quick one...

It's only fair to pay people who do services for you. If you want it free just get water from a stream and boil it. And your not paying for air your paying for the use of the pump. As for dirt, you could learn to fertilize it yourself. Other than that, I suggest you move on with your life and stop getting sad over such minor issues (if you can even call them issues).

I don't see what yer age and farms have to do with it. Normally there is water underground that a well company can dig for ya. Do ya think I dug the goddamn thing myself? I don't live on a farm either, most people don't who have wells around here... whatever o_O

What I was saying is that my parents aren't really into living in the middle of town with a city-yard (read: small) and having a well...Sorry,b ut they aren't into the whole earth-money-saving thing

Okay, people, you're taking this wrong. I'm not here to talk about how I'm going to not pay for it, I'm stating a point.

And Strawberry: Sorry, I don't normally sit around all day thinking about what the world makes us pay for, and no I did not just realize it, as I remember when i first posted this, "You know what I realized?", as in, I noticed it at some time in my life.

I know exactly what you mean, everyone kinda carried it and masacred the intended message. it is very lame that we have to pay for the 3 most important, yet natural things that we need. I know whatchya mean
