Yup, i know a lot of people that have been booked smoking, all they got was a slap on the wrist, and the loss of there weed Why what would happen in the states if you were caught smoking a joint?
It depends on where you live. And how lax the cops are. They could look the other way, they could just take it from you and slap your wrist, or they could arrest you. If arrested, probably a few hundred dollar fine, but you could get community service or something over the top.
cops take it from you were i live. i'm like 20 minutes from toronto. i had friends that got their pipes and weed taken away. they didn;t get in trouble. the cop just dropped them off home without talking to the parents.
man, i live in the ATL (atlanta GA) and the cops are always trying to catch us here. they are dicks and if they find a pipe in ur car even without weed anywhere they will arrest you and fine you for some bullshit like 'intent' and 'parephenalia'(sp).
Well, on 420 (April 20) there were hundreds of people including myself smoking massive 8-gram spliffs on the lawns of parliament, cops among the onlookers. Of course that was different, it was an annual protest.. but if a cop caught you smoking a joint outside somewhere, he would just take it away from you and warn you. Unless of course you were high as fuck and creating trouble..
in vancouver we always roll downtown smoking joints while driving past cops, they know they have better things to do, and it's not worth their time to pull us over as well, one time a cop rolled up when we were chillin in this park, i had probably 6 beers, and i had an ounce on me, plus like 2 fatty joints in my ears, the cop asked me who was driving and everyone else who was pussied out so i manned up and said i was he then saw the joints i forgot about in my ears, made me throw em on the ground, he stepped on em, then said have a good night and left
