    Thanks for bringing that to our attention! It's crazy how much in our "civilized world" is made by slaves and other exploitive means, but hardly anyone cares. It's all about the price, convenience, quality, and any other number of bad reasons.

    The last that I heard is that the chocolate slavery situation is such that a boycott would harm the slaves so badly that activists are NOT advocating a boycott. The plan is to make small increases in their condition until it is safe enough (for the slaves) to implement a boycott.

    Is this still the case?

  5. Essentially, most chocolate companies get their cocoa from random global sources, so its something to look out for in all your candy....eek :(

    Organic chocolate may be expensive, but it's not made by slaves, and of course neither is anything labeled Fair Trade.

    thats so sick ... i dont understand how there is people in the world who can be so cruel it makes me so sad, and to think i ate a wonka bar yesterday...
