iv been making dread tams for about 6 months now, and i wanted to start selling them online, how much do you tihnk i could sell them for?
    here are a few pictures.
i sold this one to a friend for about £10.00

have you checked into what they are already going for on etsy? also, consider how much time, and cost of materials and all that.

personally, i've seen them go for around $30.

can i ask what size hook you used on the one on the left? and what kind of yarn? i like them both, but i really like that one.

    good luck :)

knowing how much good yarn costs, and how much time it can take, 30 $ sounds a better range then 10. Not everyone will buy one for 30 $, but you have some arguments on your side. Point out the material. Cheap ones are often made of acrylic that can be rather uncomfortable, better ones are out of cotten, linen, hemp or wool. Your tams are not made in countries with cheap wages under sweatshop or sweatshop-like conditions. Plus you can make costum designs for your costumers.

I sell mine for $35.00 for cotton worsted weight, $50.00 for #3 crochet thread, and $60.00 for newsboys. I sell at craft fairs and festivals. I've never tried selling online though, so I can't say for sure what you could get for them.

I agree with Kastenfrosch.....acrylic is cheaper to buy so you can sell those tams for a little less. Wool, hemp, alpaca, and linen you can charge a bit more for because the fibres are more expensive to buy. You also have to factor in your time spent making them. The price range for my tams is $20 - $40 depending upon the fibre.
Good luck to you selling the tams, I'm sure that they will be a sensation. You're work is beautiful! :D
