Back in the summer of 1981 I was living in Canberra, Australia. Summers are pretty hot and it was a clear, hot, still night with bright moonlight, about 2am. I was tossing and turning when I became aware of a rythmic tapping sound. I got out of bed and stepped into the hallway and could hear it was coming from my 5 year old son's room. I thought for a moment he was playing, but I could see in his door and see him asleep. As soon as I stepped into his room, the sound stopped. I walked over to the open window which was covered by an insect screen. As I looked out, the birds that were roosting in a eucalyptus tree in my neighbor's back yard suddenly started a ruckus and started flapping about. I looked up and there was a bright light in the sky beyond the tree. I thought for a moment it was Venus, but it was much brighter. And then it started to move and I lost sight of it as it moved over my house. I headed out the front door to see it again, but there was nothing but the night sky. I've never been too enthused over abduction stories, but this made me think again.
Did you ask your son if he experienced anything weird or had a dream involving aliens? I believe there are aliens out there.I have seen some things,that I can't really explain what they are. I once saw a stange blue/greenish light/blob of something hovering over my friends house across the street,and I mean this thing was right above his house!.I don't think it was a UFO...It looked more like a portal to another dimension or something ,that just appeared then exploded and let out this huge blue/green flash that lit up half the block...And it was gone! This all happened like at 2 or 3 in the morning,and I think i'm the only one who saw it.It was weird...
