I have a 13 year old sister for example and when i see her, i get shocked at how clueless she is sometimes. Not because she is dumb but i forget how kids think sometimes....
I guess that happens when you arent around kids too much and everyone around you is so competitive.
    Your thoughts.

Kids are amazing. Just wait until you have some. You learn to see the world they do and it opens your eyes to the beauty of life. It's like nothing else.

Bird, you are adding no new information here. What I was asking was, what's the deal with you and the kiddie sex jokes. Meaning, why can't you make funny kiddie sex jokes? Your other jokes are okay.

Okay, now I understand. See, sometimes it's hard to tell when you are serious.

    haha.

anyways...ive been realizing the same thing lately. ive been up in the mountains with this family who are pretty much strangers (long story) & they have a little boy & girl. i am around babies a lot, but not little kids that can actually talk & all that. they just amazed me. i dont quite know how to act around them though. i do remember what its like to be that young. i still had to lie & steal back then just like i do now, only back then my parents actually did most of it for me. gotta survive somehow right. now i lie cheat & steal all by myself & am doing just as well as i was when i was 5 only probably a bit unhappier. thats the thing about kids i think, they are very optimistic. its sweet.

No it is quite easy. 50% of the time I am serious and 90% of the time I am not.

i must add that the other day i caught the little girl im staying with bouncing around the chickens on her little trampoline. those chickens were pissed. it looked like fun so instead of telling her to stop i stood there laughing. we bothg got in trouble. kids are crazy i love them.

Now you're just quoting Yogi Berra. And that's not very original.

In my opinion, you have to act like kid. I don't mean talking baby talk to them. That's just stupid. But it depends on their age. I have a 3 year old and we always have a riot together. I try to act like a 4 year old class clown around her. A little older, but still on her level. It takes quite a bit of imagination and acting skills, but there is nothing sweeter than hearing your child crack up laughing because of you.

Yeah, and the more you hang around them, the easier it becomes to think like them. And that's really where the fun starts. See, your first impression may have been to tell her to stop. But you waited and then saw the beauty in what she was doing. And then you both had fun...

That was the funniest thing ever. Or atleast this morning.

I've had more fun as an adult than I had as a kid, so I've forgotten what a life of restriction is like, if anything.

Some of us aren't meant to have kids. Trust me.

    Edit:
Was also very hilarious I might add.
