I recently ordered some phenethylamines from an overseas research chemical company (I'm in United States) and, as always, they've provided me with a tracking number. This is the first time that I've actually really made use of the tracking number, and I've noticed that the last updated was "Inbound into customs", about a week ago. I know previous shipmens have all passed through customs because they always had an attached customs inspection form on. My question is, what are my legal responsibilities/obligations of knowingly ordering a possible analog drug? I'm assuming the package has been seized by customs, and I'm just waiting to recieve a knock on the door one day inquiring as to why it's addressed to me. Anyone else have any similar experiences or hold-ups while waiting for a package from overseas?
I'm not sure, but I think they will just send you a notice and that should be the end of it, based on what I've heard of other people's past experiences.
It say "inbound into customs". It probably always says that at some point because all the packages have to be approved, so maybe it's just part of the process. Maybe all of your other packages would have said the same thing at some point, were you to check the tracking info. I don't know man.
your an idiot man. They will just sieze the package. Unless he ordered multiple grams, and even they are not going to have a mailman undercover deliver the package. you know why, because mailmen dont deliver to your door. I think the worst is just a siezing of the package. I'd really like to hear a reply from the guy saying what happened though. If he did order multiple grams, something very much worse could indeed happen though, but not an undercover mailman
I contacted the seller, and he said that sometimes it takes a week or two to clear customs, but if it doesn't, he'll reship the order. Like I said, I never really paid attention to how long it took, so maybe it's always sat in customs for a week... I was just wondering my legal obligations, because someone told me it's the responsibility of the seller to determine wether or not the item can be shipped to a country, yet some people and sites lay the responsibility on the buyer...
Package never came through customs, but seller reshipped it and it arrived promptly, with no customs inspection. Finally, the students in the research lab will be able to perform their experiment!
Your obligation is to turn yourself in immediately because you are violating the CSA Analogue Act. Please report to Special Agent Leary at your regional DEA office....
