Yeah read that at work this morning. bounced it off a few people we got a good kick out of it... really sums up the govt's pathetic attempt to blackball this stuff from human existance.

"they reported it as the most significant and mystical experience of their lives... said they were living better lives because of it... most had a positive experience.."

    "But dont' try it!"

bahaha they don't even try to explain it. It may be the greatest thing you ever did, but Don't uncle sam may get pissed.

It is fantastic to see legitimate psychedelic research being conducted. We were given a key 40 or 50 years ago and I can only hope in my lifetime I see the benefits of these compounds being truly explored.

    haha nice, Stig

Anyway, dude, that is really funny haha...

It seemed really ironic to me how it says, "Almost a third of the research participants found the drug experience frightening even in the very controlled setting."

Dude...If I had to spend my whole trip, locked ina fucking room with some dude...despite how often I trip...I'd be fucking pissed off at that dude. haha

They should take all those people who took it before and had a frightening experience, and take them to the beach...and try it again.

"We've lost 40 years of (potential) research experience with this whole class of compounds," he said. Now, with modern-day scientific methods, "I think it's time to pick up this research field."

that bit put a smile on my face lol

Is there a certain age where you feel all of a sudden you know those things?

That's true, you don't really have any idea how the world really works until you're in your mid 20s.

And being in my mid 20s, of course I feel that way. As you age, you always feel more wise than you did before...

Does anyone really know all of whats going on in the world? You dont need to be a pompous ass about it! All she said was that put a smile on her face... no need to say shit like that. You probably know less about the world than a lot of people younger than you. So basically STFU!

People probably think that at 20 you don't know what the world is about. And at 30 I'm sure people think that of me. What you don't take into consideration is that at every age the world is about different shit. And you also don't know someone's life experiences and how that has affected their outlook.

Just figured you like arguing since so many of your posts are shit talking. What the fuck does my age or yours have to do with anything? That's all I was wondering.

Im pretty sure Tim leary expirmented with psylicbin when he was part of harverd... Also he held the famous "Marsh Chapel Experiment" where he gave half the people who were in experiment psilocybin, the other half a placebo. To make a long story short, the ones who ingested psilocybin had a profound experiences...

But Tim Leary is rumored to "fake" his reports... So its great they did this experiment. Props to the scientists who did this :p

yeh ... but i sincerely dont see this article as being "the light". i mean... this is just a bunch of obvious points that were already proven few years ago... lots of years ago.

i dont really see "whats back" either, this article will be well beyond forgotten as soon as tomorrow's paper comes out. Doesnt take Einstein to point that out.

There are so many other articles I've read dating back to the early 60's and 70's pointing out those exact facts, that they could serve for depression (which by the way i find ironic, as it brought depression for me instead), and for addictions... well i guess it's been well ignored, even today... I still have never seen a shroom doctor at the local hospital, might be just me, i dunno:rolleyes:

just by talking to a few buddies and people who've done psychedelics, ye can already figure out those things have potential of bad trips, spiritual enlightenment, whatever... i actually find it idiotic they had to conduct and save up for a serious research like that to explain the already known.

as theres some kind of "younger then 16" neglection in here, i guess some will just instinctly laugh at this. but hey, fuck it... that's america :)

To meet anything or anyone is to meet god. god is within all things, including the dots connected by LSD.
