I've been growing dreads for about 4 months now, but have a hell of a time getting all the soap out of the dreads. I'm using a diluted form of Dr. Bronner's Tea Tree Liquid Soap btw. Is there anything I can do to keep the soap out of my dreads and just keep it on the my scalp? Does everyone have this kinda problem? I have to squeeze my dreads and twist them (practically ripping them apart) for 20 or more minutes after getting out of the shower to get as much of the soap that gets stuck inside the dreads out. Is this normal?

It takes me a while to wash my dreads as well...it's always a huge ordeal. You just have to make sure you twist your dreadies and run them under clean water...you shouldn't have too much of a problem...also twisting them during the drying process helps too.

Thanks for the advice. Good to know that this is something ya'll go through as well. It is a bit of a pain in the ass - keeps me from washing them more than twice a week.
