On Monday last I drove barefoot to work as usual only to realize uppon arrival that yours truly left his shoes at home Needless to say, I don't have a job where I can hide my feet in an office all day, so I had to drive back home and retrieve my shoes Has this happened to any other members of this forum? Hopefully, I am not alone with this experience. The weather here has been lovely and humid as of late. I made a trip into the city last Saturday night and witnessed several other barefooters marching around.
When I worked in the office at my current job (I now live in a different state and telecommute) I would always go to work with flops on and then kick them off. One day I just forgot to put shoes on and got to work before I realized it. I worked in a small office with cool people and not only were they ok with it, a couple of girls started leaving their shoes in the car. That might not be truely barefooting, but its a start. Plus, how cool is it to have almost an entire office running around barefoot. It felt like a minor victory.
When I worked in the corporate world (1984 -1996), I would always leave my shoes and socks:$ (yuk), in the car. I would put them on when I arrived at the office. A few times during the aforementioned years, I had removed the shoes and socks from my car. Needless, to say I had to return home to retrieve them.
i went barefoot to school all the time. i usually brought sandals with me, but i would forget all the time and my teachers made fun of me.
I just leave my flip flops in the car... period... If I need real shoes, it's usually such an occasion that I put them on before I leave...
